This is a sad story. It needs to be told so other people don’t make the same mistake. The simple takeaway from this story is do not use Hordins tax firm. At one time, I had nothing but wonderful things to say about Hordins. But I am now in a terrifying situation because I relied on Tasha to do her job and she didn’t. I was laid off earlier this year. I needed my tax refund ASAP. She knew this. I am a US citizen but live abroad and need my tax refund in a very bad way. I have relied on Hordin Tax Service for more than 10 years for my taxes. This year, for whatever reason, Tasha ignored 4 months of communications, lied to me numerous times, and unapologetically turned my taxes in late. From the time I gave her my taxes and full payment, (1-23-24) to the time that she had my taxes ready was more than 42 days. (3-4-24) That would not be so bad if she filed them. But she didn’t and lied to me about it. She ignored me and lied about my filing tax status. I did not find out she didn’t do anything with my taxes until 4-16-24!!!. She did not even mail them until 4-17. So, I spent another 45+ days thinking my taxes were filed but she never did them. During these two time periods, I called and left messages more than 30+ times, sent 20+ text messages and FB messages, sent flowers, and even sent her another $100 begging for a response. She ignored me every time and lied to me until the very end. Yesterday, I called the IRS again to verify they received my taxes. Despite the “proof” Tasha sent me, they have no record of receipt. Do not use Hordin’s to do your taxes. If you are a current client, get your tax transcripts to verify that she did what she said. She lied and covered up her negligence with me, so I am sure I am not the only one. As it stands now, I cannot verify that my taxes were filed. Tasha has ghosted me because she does not want to deal with the fallout from her negligent behavior. What makes this worse is that less than six months ago, I paid her a substantial amount of money to get me caught up on my taxes, and she supposedly filed four years of taxes. Right now, two of those years cannot be verified. I am now dealing with a horrible mess of trying to figure out what has been done and what has not. Tasha has been no help. This is worth repeating: do not use Hordin’s Tax Service to do your taxes, and if you are a current client, get your tax transcript to verify Tasha did what she said. She lied and covered up her negligence with me, so I am sure I am not the only one. Tasha, you should be ashamed of how you have treated me after all these years. I should matter to you.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Gitau Munge as my tax preparer. Not only did he take over a month to complete my taxes, but he also failed to communicate with me throughout the entire process. To make matters worse, he submitted my taxes well after the deadline had passed. In a misguided attempt to make amends, he offered me a $180 discount "for keeping me waiting," which felt more like an insult than a gesture of goodwill. I strongly urge anyone seeking a tax preparer to stay away from Gitau Muunge. His lack of professionalism and disregard for deadlines make him an unreliable choice.

Great Guy and very good at his Job!!! We have been using Ray for over 25yrs, and have moved 3xs, yet we always come back. He knows us and he always remember to give us the best service and quick with a joke or come back with my sarcasm. Would and have recommended Ray to many people,

Robert is a must for tax relief. I had years of unfilled taxes and a lot of money owed to the IRS. Years of worry and stress. One phone call to Robert changed the daily fear of the IRS. He shows relentless passion in negotiating the best for every client. A true and accurate statement, for I received the best deal ever! A wonderful and professional person to put your trust in.

I am very disappointed in the attention Bryan gave to my business over the last year. He had big intentions to set my business up to running smooth and failed. He ignored all my calls, emails, and texts for almost a year and did not process a return. I do not recommend working with him.

Jerry was very difficult to work with. I needed help with something I had never done before. Submit payments as a 1099 employee along with a partial year as a W2 employee. Jerry gave me a number that I needed to pay the IRS and I paid them that exact amount. Well before the deadline. He was to submit my taxes digitally. It's 4/22/24 and I just saw on the IRS website that I owe another $248. I have no idea what this is for and have not been able to get through with the IRS. Jerry per usual doesn't respond to my emails at all so now I don't know if he even submitted my taxes on time. I know I paid on time because the IRS website has record of it. I would definitely not recommend using "The Tax Man." I've never had such a lack of support by a professional.

Great personality, He takes his time to explain things thoroughly with you. I have been filling my personal and business taxes with him for many year with no issues. He is very honest and takes care of all his clients. I will recommend him to anyone in need of help with their taxes. He is also a real estate agent. As a matter of fact, he helped me purchase my first home.

I absolutely love, love, love the experiences I have had. This year was my second time and I was not disappointed. My husband and our three children went together. The process did not take long and Mr. Hall is very professional. I have been telling everyone about his services. He is the BEST!

He's very knowledgeable, skilled and honest guy, but very unprofessional when it comes to taking customer's inquiries. He and his "staff" lack of customer service, does not take any calls when required. Save yourself headache and don't go to these folks.

I have paid Jackie for years to do my taxes because im loyal but she could never answer questions and communicates poorly. She filed my taxes, knowing I was missing a document, but didn't tell me she was charging a extra $200. to file the document after, and when I told her she had not told me that in the beginning and I would be going somewhere else next year, she just left my taxes unfinished..after being paid.

I was disappointed with my services this year. Communication was not good this year and the fee was more than I expected. The first year I did my taxes with her I paid a lil over $500 and this year I ended up paying a little over $900 I will not be using her services any longer. I have heard she only charges some people around $100 and she does more for there taxes then my simple W2s.

Imagine how I was shocked when informed the cost for preparing my return was $600.00 after my previous CPA had charged me $275.00 the previous tax year. You ask why I changed preparers? My previous CPA retired and sold his practice to Kristopher Stone, et al. If My returns were identical in preparation and number of schedules, actually my previous preparer provided additional services. I never laid eyes on Mr. Stone or had a conversation with him or did we speak about doing the various calculations and extraneous "services" that he felt the need to do. I.E. various "analysis". I am a former employee of The Internal Revenue Service (long time ago) but am never comfortable with doing my own returns. I cannot recommend Kristopher Stone !

Lindsay initially was very responsive and appeared to be a legitimate tax professional after we hired her for the 2021 and 2022 tax years. She made us believe that everything was taken care of. We're now finding out that she never actually filed our taxes, just extension after extension, and is now completely unresponsive after taking our payment. We're pursuing options to report fraud and get our money back.

I highly recommend Seema. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She was very prompt with her services and communication and really went above and beyond in every way! Definitely hire her for your tax needs!

Have been using Mansihn for over 40 years. Wouldn't use any one else. I had my own business for 38 years and still use him now that I'm retired.

In my humble opinion Alphonso Hemmeain is every red flag you've ever learned about. This "CoNsultant" does not have anyones best interest in mind. Newbies will be ruined before they even begin. Please be careful!

We have used Sharon for the last 16 years. This year things seem to have gone bad very quickly. We had our taxes done on January 29. We never got a refund on our federal taxes and calls and emails to her went unanswered. My husband finally went by her office and she told him that there was a glitch in the system, and that some of her clients taxes that were e-filed did not actually go through. I don’t know why she never bothered to call us or email us and let us know this, we still would not know had he not gone by there because she was not volunteering this information. She told us she would re-submit our tax return electronically a second time. A few more weeks went by still no refund and a call to IRS confirmed that they had no tax return being submitted this year. My husband went by the office a second time to let her know that it still had not been filed and told her that we would pick up a copy of the taxes and mail ourselves. The day after he picked up the hardcopy of the taxes , we got a package from IRS where they were returning the taxes back to us because one of the signatures was written in the wrong spot. The only problem is that neither of the signatures on our tax returns were ours. She had signed our name in our taxes back in February and mailed them in herself, but did not see fit to tell us that she had done this. A simple phone call or the truth to us would have been sufficient. If there was a problem filing taxes electronically all she had to do was contact us to come by and sign our tax returns. According to other online reviews I have seen, we are not the only people that have had a a similar problem with her this year. Please confirm with the IRS that they have a record of your tax returns to avoid any penalties. I am not sure if someone else signing my tax return is legal or not, but it definitely is not appreciated
