Taxes were done on 2/27, but not filed until 4/14 which was 46 days after they were prepared. Taxes were rejected on 4/14 and I was never notified. Extension filed on 4/15 I was never notified. I had to follow up with the accountant on 4/30 to find out what was happening with my taxes & return since completed months back. Accountant laughed & said they were rejected due to a PIN missing (which I provided on 2/27) with all other tax information needed to file. I provided PIN again on 4/30 & preparer placed in wrong area along with rearranging the names on the taxes showing my husband first resulting in a rejection again. I provided PIN again on 5/1 & advised them again I was to be listed first on the tax return. Tax return was finally accepted & being processed as of 5/1. I attempted to discuss this with the accountant on 5/3 and obtain a refund for subpar services provided as these should have been filed at minimum in early March & I should have been notified of the rejection and extension and not chasing them for an update to be bullied and talked over and the staff being blamed for the lack of communication with no resolution or satisfaction for services paid for. I was told it was filed and everything is done, and I should be happy and he considered this finished. I called preparer on 5/6 looking for a copy of my return & W-2's to be told they do not know where they are & must have been mailed. The fact that I had to follow up on this and was once again not ever notified of the issues is not only unprofessional, but bad business along with miss placing personal information that could be stolen and used to steal my and my husband’s identity. If I could give no stars or less than I would.

Miss Theodora Perryman is a very nice lady! She let my uncle rent a garage apartment located on the premises of 104-04 Saint Albans, Hollis NY 11412! She has been in business for a very long time! She has been taking care of my mom's taxes for many years and my mom does not trust just anybody with sensitive information! 104-04, the house and office is very nice! Shane Haniff Mohammed!

Very very irresponsible service. I got IRS penalty as I trusted this service. Although I filed in January by giving them a $100 service fee, they didn't put my information to the IRS. I got a penalty after that. Don't pick up the calls and no response to emails.

My husband grew up with John in Walnut Creek, so when we discovered he did taxes, we were ecstatic! Our large tax preparation service had been overcharging us for years, so we decided to give John a test-run. Flying colors! I’m sure he knows more about current tax law than those other guys. He keeps us up-to-date on everything, warns of things to address with our retirement guy, since that is fast approaching, and is just terrific to work with overall. I was audited by the IRS on a tax return I filed. They did not accept my schedule C and said I owed $8k. By the time Carrie reviewed the audit, The IRS owed me money. She was so awesome. The agent said her format is the gold standard for submitting taxes.

We loved Tony’s personality, but she has made several careless mistakes. The First time our taxes were prepared by her, our kids Social Security number was incorrect. I didn’t think much of it then, this year she incorrectly calculated our taxes and our refund was 4000 less than anticipated. Additionally, Our direct deposit account information was incorrect. Upon contacting her, She was not responsive. After numerous attempts to contact her and make appointments to no avail, she sent a corrected tax return, but there was no contact thereafter. Also made an error on my parents tax return. She put the incorrect Social Security number for my father. There is no apology or an acknowledgment of error, an amended tax return was provided, and that was it.

I have been filing my taxes with Laura since she opened LMI Accounting. Our relationship started off great and I thought I found a trustworthy tax preparer that I would use for the rest of my life. As the years went on Laura’s competency and follow through declined, always an excuse. My taxes had mistakes and I would often get letters from the IRS with fees due to these mistakes. Communication with Laura has never been the best but recently it has been absolutely horrible. Although Laura has had my tax info for months, my very simple taxes were never filed on time this year, only an extension. After trying to get ahold of Laura for weeks and calmly lamenting my frustrations via email about simply completing my taxes on time, Laura said to find someone else to prepare my taxes…… So I guess if you’re reading this, that is my advice to you as well. AVOID LAURA MEYERS IHRMAN ACCOUNTING AT ALL COSTS OR YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

STAY AWAY!! I reached out to Kelly to prepare taxes for two of my business and she completely dropped the ball! Friday before tax deadline told me she would need to file extensions (after I followed up for an update repeatedly) and that she would complete them after taking a vacation through May 1. When I asked her for copies of the extensions on 4/16 for my partners, she stated she was on vacay until May 1, which is completely unprofessional. Upon seeking another referral for someone to assist in the meantime, from a community FB page, I received over 20 messages from people she did the same thing to. Once I found a new preparer I discovered she never filed extensions!! She uses free tax software and creates log ins for people and files on their behalf as “self prepared”. She lied, in writing, about being registered with the IRS. I’m highly concerned about her having our information. Stay away from this woman!

This is a sad story. It needs to be told so other people don’t make the same mistake. The simple takeaway from this story is do not use Hordins tax firm. At one time, I had nothing but wonderful things to say about Hordins. But I am now in a terrifying situation because I relied on Tasha to do her job and she didn’t. I was laid off earlier this year. I needed my tax refund ASAP. She knew this. I am a US citizen but live abroad and need my tax refund in a very bad way. I have relied on Hordin Tax Service for more than 10 years for my taxes. This year, for whatever reason, Tasha ignored 4 months of communications, lied to me numerous times, and unapologetically turned my taxes in late. From the time I gave her my taxes and full payment, (1-23-24) to the time that she had my taxes ready was more than 42 days. (3-4-24) That would not be so bad if she filed them. But she didn’t and lied to me about it. She ignored me and lied about my filing tax status. I did not find out she didn’t do anything with my taxes until 4-16-24!!!. She did not even mail them until 4-17. So, I spent another 45+ days thinking my taxes were filed but she never did them. During these two time periods, I called and left messages more than 30+ times, sent 20+ text messages and FB messages, sent flowers, and even sent her another $100 begging for a response. She ignored me every time and lied to me until the very end. Yesterday, I called the IRS again to verify they received my taxes. Despite the “proof” Tasha sent me, they have no record of receipt. Do not use Hordin’s to do your taxes. If you are a current client, get your tax transcripts to verify that she did what she said. She lied and covered up her negligence with me, so I am sure I am not the only one. As it stands now, I cannot verify that my taxes were filed. Tasha has ghosted me because she does not want to deal with the fallout from her negligent behavior. What makes this worse is that less than six months ago, I paid her a substantial amount of money to get me caught up on my taxes, and she supposedly filed four years of taxes. Right now, two of those years cannot be verified. I am now dealing with a horrible mess of trying to figure out what has been done and what has not. Tasha has been no help. This is worth repeating: do not use Hordin’s Tax Service to do your taxes, and if you are a current client, get your tax transcript to verify Tasha did what she said. She lied and covered up her negligence with me, so I am sure I am not the only one. Tasha, you should be ashamed of how you have treated me after all these years. I should matter to you.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Gitau Munge as my tax preparer. Not only did he take over a month to complete my taxes, but he also failed to communicate with me throughout the entire process. To make matters worse, he submitted my taxes well after the deadline had passed. In a misguided attempt to make amends, he offered me a $180 discount "for keeping me waiting," which felt more like an insult than a gesture of goodwill. I strongly urge anyone seeking a tax preparer to stay away from Gitau Muunge. His lack of professionalism and disregard for deadlines make him an unreliable choice.

Great Guy and very good at his Job!!! We have been using Ray for over 25yrs, and have moved 3xs, yet we always come back. He knows us and he always remember to give us the best service and quick with a joke or come back with my sarcasm. Would and have recommended Ray to many people,

Robert is a must for tax relief. I had years of unfilled taxes and a lot of money owed to the IRS. Years of worry and stress. One phone call to Robert changed the daily fear of the IRS. He shows relentless passion in negotiating the best for every client. A true and accurate statement, for I received the best deal ever! A wonderful and professional person to put your trust in.

I am very disappointed in the attention Bryan gave to my business over the last year. He had big intentions to set my business up to running smooth and failed. He ignored all my calls, emails, and texts for almost a year and did not process a return. I do not recommend working with him.

Jerry was very difficult to work with. I needed help with something I had never done before. Submit payments as a 1099 employee along with a partial year as a W2 employee. Jerry gave me a number that I needed to pay the IRS and I paid them that exact amount. Well before the deadline. He was to submit my taxes digitally. It's 4/22/24 and I just saw on the IRS website that I owe another $248. I have no idea what this is for and have not been able to get through with the IRS. Jerry per usual doesn't respond to my emails at all so now I don't know if he even submitted my taxes on time. I know I paid on time because the IRS website has record of it. I would definitely not recommend using "The Tax Man." I've never had such a lack of support by a professional.
